Petzl Rescucender

The Lowdown

This is the new Rescucender from Petzl. It's a rope grab that works on ropes from 9mm-13mm. The well designed quick release cam makes taking on and off ropes a breeze and the hidden cam spring does away with the annoying wire cable spring, that is prone to catching and eventually fraying.

Treegears Take

This is a brilliantly designed rope grab. Rope grabs generally get used in Arb as lanyard adjusters or to set mechanical advantage pulleys on to a line. We feel there must be a lot more ingenious uses for the Rescucender though.
