Yale Basket Fid

This Basket Fid by Yale Cordage is designed for splicing hollow braid ropes like yale brace, yalex, tenex, ice tail etc.

The wire basket acts like a Chinese finger trap, firmly gripping the rope while being pulled, yet easily released when needed.

A great tool that simplifies splicing by easily attaching to the rope, passing through the hollow braid and detaching. All without excessive taping or doubling the rope diameter to pass through.
