Designed as a friction cord but many climbers use it as a work positioning lanyard or flipline. This cord is very tough; resistant to nicks and almost melt-proof! Armor-Prus is world famous in arborist circles for its ability to resist heat generated in speedy descents.
The secret formula lies in the unique cover blend of Technora and polyester over a core of lightweight Spectra 900. Donahys Spectra core incorporates a world-first safety feature made up of twin Kevlar strands which, in the unlikely event of cover failure, prevent the core from being cut or melted completely. Armor-Prus has a very low stretch and is easy to splice - making it perfect for prusik lines.
