Knots At Work - A Field Guide For The Modern Arborist No one ties knots more frequently and of such variety than those who work in the tree care profession. And in a profession such as this, only knots that are correctly tied and aptly applied every time will do. Anything less is likely to lead to a very short career!
This latest book from Jeff Jepson covers 2 key areas, 1: Knowing how to correctly tie the knots, and 2: Knowing the right application for the knot. It is presented in a unique cross-reference format that is easy to navigate, quickly grasped, and is compact enough to refer to in the field, where it is needed most.
Just a newbie getting into recreational tree climbing and finding this book covers the fundamental tools of getting correctly knotted even before I go and look at a tree! The ins and outs of the best usage and potential dangers of some knots in certain circumstances.
In fact this book has more of what I was expecting in Jeff Jepson's other book which seems hard to come by at the moment.
So valuable that I reccommend not attempting a climb without at least committing the 'must know' knots from this book to memory first!!!!!

Great book. It documents virtually all the knots, well known and not so well known, you will ever need for all aspects of safe and efficient tree work, or lots of other jobs too.
